Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University
Part of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs is part of Harvard University. Its director is Graham Allison. It is a research and graduate teaching center, somewhat similar to the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University or the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University, with a declared mission of:
- providing leadership in advancing policy-relevant knowledge about the most important challenges of international security and other critical issues where science, technology, environmental policy, and international affairs intersect
- preparing future generations of leaders for these arenas.
Center researchers not only conduct scholarly research, but also develop prescriptions for policy reform.
